The Macallan estate, constructed in 1700, is nestled in a picturesque region of natural beauty. The use of Spanish sherry seasoned oak casks imbues the whisky with flavors of chocolate, dried fruits, and spices, while American sherry seasoned oak casks provide notes of sweet citrus, light spice, vanilla, and light oak. The use of American bourbon seasoned oak barrels results in a profile with sweet citrus, coconut, and oak flavors.
