Lagavulin Scotch is crafted by Lagavulin Distillery, one of the oldest distilleries situated in the heart of the iconic Islay Island in Scotland. The distillery has a rich history, dating back to 1816 when it was established by John Johnston and Archibald Campbell Brooks. The brand is renowned for its slow distillation process and unique pear-shaped pot stills. Lagavulin offers an extensive range of spirits, including expressions aged in American oak, sherry-aged distillations, and single malts, all created from over two centuries of historic whisky production. The brand's classic and highly popular 16-year-old Scotch has won four double gold medals from 2005 to 2008 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and was named the Best Distillers Single Malt in 2017. In 1989, Lagavulin was acquired by renowned liquor conglomerate Diageo and remains a leading producer of Islay Scotch worldwide.
