Old Forester Statesman Kentucky straight bourbon was first launched in 2017, in conjunction with the movie ‘Kingsman: The Gold Circle’. This particular bourbon is made by blending whiskies that have been carefully selected from Old Forester’s own warehouse. The mash bill used to create this bourbon contains 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley, resulting in a non-age statement (NAS) bourbon with a cask strength of 95% proof. Upon nosing, one can detect tempting aromas of sweet cherries coated in brown sugar, vanilla frosting, and baked sugar cookies seasoned with shaved oak. The palate reveals flavors of summer cherry pie, sugar, and sliced bananas in caramel.
