During the aging process, thick French oak staves are deeply seared and then placed inside newly emptied standard barrels before being refilled for a further 2-3 months of maturation. This non-age-statement release has a mash bill consisting of 70% corn, 16% wheat, and 14% barley. It boasts a robust barrel strength of 94% proof, with tantalizing aromas of caramel, vanilla, and buttery oak. The palate is enriched with warm spices, buttered biscuits, caramel, and cinnamon-toasted wheat, making this an exceptional bourbon for the connoisseur.
