Maker's Mark Maker's 46 bourbon is a unique creation that followed a significant expansion of the brand. This exceptional bourbon is based on Maker's own standard wheated recipe, which is developed in small batches of just 1,000 gallons. During the aging process, thick French oak staves are deeply seared and then placed inside newly emptied standard barrels before being refilled for a further 2-3 months of maturation. This non-age-statement release has a mash bill consisting of 70% corn, 16% wheat, and 14% barley. It boasts a robust barrel strength of 94% proof, with tantalizing aromas of caramel, vanilla, and buttery oak. The palate is enriched with warm spices, buttered biscuits, caramel, and cinnamon-toasted wheat, making this an exceptional bourbon for the connoisseur.
