Made entirely from the Espadin maguey plant, Madre Espadin boasts a bright and clean taste, making it a popular choice for easy-drinking. Its earthy aromas and balanced flavor are accentuated by lively hints of ginger and pine, anchored by sandalwood and a light mesquite finish. The spirit has a round and full texture, with a gentle alcohol presence in the aftertaste. Carlos Blas and his family oversee the production of Madre Espadin, sourcing fully mature agaves from their farms in Miahuatlan, Matatlan, and San Dionisio. The harvested espadin is pit roasted separately, using only plants from each specific region, and the resulting mezcals are blended according to a general, standard ratio with minimal alterations, to ensure consistent flavor and quality.
